It is one of the few research-driven universities in India. In 2017, Suresh Gyan Vihar University became the first and only private university in Rajasthan to be awarded NAAC “A” grade. NAAC council is the foremost agency of quality assurance devised by the Government of India and the “A” grade is a sign of ethics, quality, and innovation to the utmost level. Within 10 years of being awarded the University status by the Government of Rajasthan, this is indeed a commendable feat. Suresh Gyan Vihar University is associated with organizations like Google, IBM, and Bosch Rexroth. These revolutionary associations help to add project-based course delivery, industrial experience, and vocational training in our extensive curriculum of specialized B.Tech, BBA, MBA, and BCA courses. THE CHAIRMAN Mr. Sunil Sharma (Chancellor, Suresh Gyan Vihar University)
Mr. Sunil Sharma, Chancellor of Suresh Gyan Vihar University, has been associated with the Institution right from its advent in the year 2000. He has been responsible for nurturing and tending it from its very beginning- transforming a once Engineering and Technology School into the sophisticated, robust and dynamic self-financed university of today. A considerable credit of its growth into a temple of technical education goes to Mr. Sunil Sharma’s dynamic leadership and his unquestionable ability as an able, honest and discerning executive authority.
Mr. Sharma graduated in Commerce from Rajasthan University in 1984 and followed it up with a Law Degree in 1987. He served for over 20 years as a Legal Consultant. For the last 15 years, he has dedicated a considerable amount of his energy and almost all of his time into the administration of Suresh Gyan Vihar University. Apart from being the Chairman of Gyan Vihar University, he is also the Vice President of Sahitya Sadawart Samiti and serves various important portfolios of assorted Non-Governmental educational organizations.
Although the cumbersome task of administering a busy University takes up most of his time, he has not ignored his social commitment as he works diligently for various socio-political organizations of the state. His predilection for writing, his voracious appetite for reading and studying a variety of subjects has made him a virtual conduit of information covering a wide spectrum of topics ranging from History, Economics, Metaphysics, and Indian Philosophy. A value-based and ethical leader, he is an invaluable asset to the holistic approach in the education of the nation.
UNIVERSITY RECOGNITIONS
The Suresh Gyan Vihar University is incorporated by the Government of Rajasthan Act 2008 (Act no 16 of 2008) and established through an extraordinary gazette notification on 21 April 2008. The University is entitled to conduct various courses at UG, PG and Doctoral level in the disciplines described in schedule II of the Act.
